Empty and reinsert drip tray and grounds container appears on the coffee machine display (CVA 7000). The message is displayed even though the drip tray and grounds container have been emptied and reinserted.
The drip tray contacts are soiled.
Clean the contacts (metal disks) and the space between them carefully, e.g., using a brush. Dry all parts thoroughly.
The contacts will not be able to detect that the drip tray is full if they are damp or dirty. Check the contacts and the area around them once a week.
The magnet in the grounds container has come loose and is no longer in place.
Contact the Miele Service Department to order a new grounds container.
