Insert drip tray or Empty drip tray

Insert drip tray or Empty drip tray appears on the coffee machine display.

The drip tray is full of water.

Empty the drip tray.

The drip tray is not positioned correctly in the coffee machine.

Pull the drip tray out of the coffee machine.

Push the drip tray back into the coffee machine until it clicks into place.

The drip tray contacts (metal disks) are soiled.

The contacts (metal disks) will not be able to detect that the drip tray is full or has been installed if they are damp or dirty. Check the contacts and the area around them once a week.

The contacts (metal disks) are located at the back of the drip tray.

CVA 7xxx:

CVA 6xxx:

Clean the contacts using a mild solution of warm water and liquid dish soap.

Also clean the gap between the contacts thoroughly.

Turn the drip tray over.

Clean the contacts thoroughly from underneath as well.

Dry the contacts and the gap between the contacts well.

Dry the drip tray.

Insert the drip tray back in the coffee machine. Push the drip tray into the coffee machine until it clicks into place.

There is a technical fault.

Switch the coffee machine off and on again at the power switch.
