Steam instead of milk/milk froth

Steam is coming out instead of milk/milk froth even though the milk flask is full.

The suction nozzle on the dispensing unit (Cappuccinatore) has not been inserted into the appliance correctly or has become deformed.

Disconnect the milk pipework.

The dispensing unit is integrated into the central spout.

Pull the stainless steel cover forward and remove it from the central spout.

Pull the dispensing unit down to remove it.

Dampen the individual parts of the dispensing unit under running water.

The dispensing unit is easier to reinsert if the individual parts have been dampened with water beforehand.

Carefully install the dispensing unit back onto the central spout in the correct position. Press firmly to ensure the dispensing unit is securely installed without any gaps; see figure 3.

Put the stainless steel cover back into place.

Connect the milk pipework.
