Cooking zones will not switch on

Cooktop or cooking zones cannot be switched on.

Overheating protection has been triggered.

You can start using the cooking zones again as soon as they have cooled down to a safe level. If the overheating protection is triggered relatively frequently, contact Miele Service.

There is no power to the cooktop.

Check if the breaker has tripped. Contact a qualified electrician or Miele Service (for the minimum protection rating, see the data plate).

There may be a technical fault.

Disconnect the cooktop from the electricity supply for approx. 1 minute by

  • turning off the relevant breaker or unscrewing the fuse completely, or

  • switching off the residual current device.

If the cooktop will still not switch on after the RCD or fuse has been turned on or reinstalled, contact a qualified electrician or Miele Service.
