Noises coming from induction cooktop during cooking

There are noises (humming, buzzing, crackling, whistling, etc.) coming from the induction cooktop during cooking.

When using induction cooking zones, you may hear noises coming from the cookware.

The following noises may occur, depending on the type and shape of the cookware base:

  • On the higher power levels, it might buzz. This buzzing will decrease or cease altogether when the power level is reduced.

  • Cookware with bases made of different materials (e.g., sandwich bases) may produce a crackling noise.

  • Whistling may occur if connected cooking zones are simultaneously in use and cookware with bases made of different materials (e.g., sandwich bases) is placed on them.

  • The electronics may produce a clicking sound, especially at lower power levels.

To increase the life of the electronics, the appliance is equipped with a cooling fan. When the appliance is being used intensively, the cooling fan switches on and causes a humming noise. The fan may continue to run after the appliance has been turned off.

No remedy required.

The cookware is vibrating.

If the different materials that make up the cookware base (e.g., sandwich bases) are less than perfectly joined, the cookware may vibrate.

To avoid these noises, please use some different cookware.
