Door falls down quickly

The door of the dishwasher falls down quickly when opening.

The door springs are set to an incorrect weight.

The door springs are correctly adjusted when a half-opened door (approx. 45° opening angle) remains in that position when released. When the door lowers to the horizontal position, the door springs must be taut. If, on the other hand, it springs back up, the springs must be loosened.

For built-in (under-counter) and (fully) integrated appliances, you can adjust the springs to the weight of the door as follows:

The adjustment screws are located at the front right and left in the base of the dishwasher.

Balance out the door springs using a screwdriver (TORX T20 or flat-head 1 x 5.5 mm):

  • Turning to the right = tightening

  • Turning to the left = loosening

For free-standing units, a Miele service technician is required as the appliance needs to be opened.
