White residue on wash items

Clouding has occurred on dishware, glasses, and cutlery after the rinse. The residue can be wiped off.

The amount of rinse aid dispensed is set too low.

Increase the rinse aid dosage.

Only for dishwashers with water softener:
There is no salt in the salt container.

Fill the salt container with dishwasher salt.

Only for dishwashers with water softener:
The salt container cap has not been screwed on securely.

Reinstall the cap, making sure that it screws back on correctly.

Not enough detergent was dispensed.

Use more detergent during manual dispensing or change the detergent you are using.

Use the AutoDos function (depending on the model). AutoDos automatically dispenses the right quantity of detergent. If necessary, increase the dosage for automatic dispensing under “Settings”.

Too much detergent was dispensed.

Use less detergent during manual dispensing or change the detergent you are using.

Activate the 2nd interim rinse function (depending on the model).

An unsuitable combination detergent has been used.

Switch to another detergent. Use normal detergent tabs or powder detergent without combination products and ensure you refill the salt and rinse aid.

For thorough and gentle cleaning of glasses, dishware, and cutlery, Miele recommends using Miele products.

Only for dishwashers with water softener:
The water softener is set to a water hardness that is too low.

Set a higher water hardness in the water softener.
