“Steam generator too hot” indicator lights up

The “Steam generator too hot” indicator lights up constantly on the steam ironing system.

To protect the steam ironing system from heat damage, a safety mechanism has been triggered.

Allow the steam ironing system to cool down. It may take a few hours to cool down completely.

After the  (Steam generator too hot) indicator light has gone out, the steam ironing system will be ready for use again.

If the  (Steam generator too hot) indicator light continues to light up at brief intervals, contact Miele Customer Service.

The rinsing or descaling process was interrupted.

Allow the steam ironing system to cool down. It may take a few hours to cool down completely.

Avoid interrupting the rinsing or descaling process in the future.

The rinsing process takes a few minutes.

While the steam ironing system is rinsing, the indicator light on the iron is off. All other functions are switched off.

On the inside, water is drained into the residual water drawer. During the process, some steam escapes and splashing noises can also be heard.

The steam ironing system can only be used again once the automatic rinsing process is completed.

The  (Descale) indicator lights up yellow during the descaling process.
