How do I use AirFry? (H 2xxx)

How do I use AirFry? (H 2xxx)

Handling and cooking food correctly is essential for maintaining good health.

Food such as cakes, pizzas, and French fries should be cooked until golden, not dark brown.

  • Food that does not drip, e.g., French fries:
Use the Gourmet baking and AirFry tray, perforated (if present). The food is browned and crisped on all sides by way of the small perforations of the Gourmet baking and AirFry tray. However, you can also use the universal tray.

  • Food that drips, e.g., chicken thighs:
Use the universal tray with the wire rack or the grilling and roasting insert (if present). The grilling and roasting insert will collect the meat juices and stop them from burning so that they can be used for making gravy and sauces. Brush the wire rack or the grilling and roasting insert with oil and then place the food on top.

  • Food in bakeware:
Place food in bakeware in the center of the wire rack.

You can purchase accessories for your oven from the “Oven Accessories” section of the Miele online store or from a Miele dealer.

  • Do not defrost frozen food.

  • Distribute the food evenly and in a single layer over the perforated Gourmet baking and AirFry tray or the grilling and roasting insert.

  • Place the food in the oven without preheating. If the food is not crispy enough for you, you can try preheating the oven next time.

  • Only cook on one shelf level. Cooking on multiple levels will create too much moisture in the oven compartment and the food will not become crispy.

  • In general, place the food on shelf level 2. If you would like more browning on top, you can try using a higher level next time.

  • Select the AirFry  operating mode (H 2xxx ovens); see “Wie kann ich AirFry am Backofen auswählen? (H 2xxx)”.

  • Confirm your selection with OK.

  • The recommended temperature (375°F/190°C) will appear. You can change the recommended temperature in a range of 85–500°F (30–250°C).
Change the recommended temperature according to the information in the recipe or the cooking chart in the latest operating instructions.
For frozen/convenience products, follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the packaging. Use the lower of the recommended temperatures on the packaging.

  • If possible, turn the food, e.g., French fries, halfway through the cooking duration. Set the timer to remind you.

  • At the end of the cooking duration, check whether the food is crispy and browned enough for you.

Consult the operating instructions for further information.
