No browning during broiling

During broiling in the oven, the food is not browned enough or the broil duration is too long.

The oven has not been preheated or has been preheated for too long, extending the broil duration significantly. Once the oven has reached the set temperature, the broil element switches off and only switches on again if the temperature in the oven compartment drops significantly.

Preheat the oven for 5 minutes then place the food inside.

The food has been placed on the incorrect shelf level.

Use the shelf level that is best suited for the food and the operating mode according to the cooking chart. You can find the cooking chart in the “Notes on use” booklet or in the operating instructions.
