Browning is uneven

The wrong temperature or shelf level was selected.

Slight unevenness is normal.

If it is excessive, check whether the correct temperature and shelf level were used.

The material or color of the bakeware is not suitable for the oven mode selected.

When “Surround” is selected, matte, dark colored pans should be used. Light colored, shiny pans will not produce the best cooking results.

The catalyzer has been set at too high a level. This can lead to uneven browning results on more delicate foods such as sponge cake.

Set the odor reduction catalyzer to a lower level or turn it off.
To do so, proceed as follows:

  1. Select the “Settings” menu.

  2. Swipe across the screen until the Catalyzer option appears, then touch it to select.

The level of odor reduction is represented by a bar with seven segments. Maximum odor reduction is selected when all segments are filled. If none of the segments are filled the catalyzer is turned off.

  • Select the Minimum or Maximum option to change the level of odor reduction.

  • Select the On or Off option to turn the catalyzer on or off.
