Limited/no ice cube production

The ice maker is not producing any ice cubes or only a limited number.

The refrigeration appliance or ice maker is not switched on.

Switch the refrigeration appliance and the ice maker on.

The ice cube drawer is not closed properly.

Insert the ice cube drawer properly.

The appliance door has been opened too frequently, causing the compressor to turn on more often and the ice maker has iced up.

Only open the appliance door when necessary and for as short a time as possible.

The temperature in the freezer zone is too high.

Select a lower temperature.

The wrong ice cube drawer is inserted in the freezer section.

The correct ice cube drawer has a magnet that indicates to the ice maker that the ice cube drawer is inserted.

Insert the correct ice cube drawer in the freezer section.

Refrigeration appliances with water container:
There is not enough water in the water container.

Fill the water container.

The water container is not inserted correctly.

Insert the water container, making sure it clicks into position correctly.

Refrigeration appliances with plumbed water connection:
The water supply is not open or has not been vented.

Open the water inlet.

Check whether the water inlet is vented.

There is a kink in the water hose.

Check the water hose and replace it if necessary.

The water connection pressure is too low.

Check whether the water connection pressure is high enough (depending on the model).

The water inlet filter is soiled.

Rinse the filter under running water.

Remember that it can take up to 24 hours for the production of ice cubes to commence.
