Fault F196 (DGC 6xx5, DGC 7xxx)

Fault F196 (DGC 6xx5, DGC 7xxx) is shown on the display of the combi-steam oven. Water could not be pumped away from the oven compartment.

There is a fault.

Turn the steam oven off and then back on again.

The floor filter in the floor of the oven compartment is dirty.

Clean the floor filter in order to remove soiling from the holes, allowing water to drain again.

The oven compartment floor filter is not inserted or not inserted correctly.

Turn the combi-steam oven off.

Insert the floor filter correctly.

DGC 6xx5: Make sure that the curve of the floor filter is pointing upward.

DGC 7XXX:

Turn the combi-steam oven back on.

DGC 7xxx: The water drain hose is kinked, rolled up, or looped.

Turn the combi-steam oven off.

Check the installation of the water drain hose.

Correct the installation of the water drain hose if necessary.

The water drain hose must not be kinked, rolled up, or looped. It must be laid out on the floor in the base area.
