Steam/water escaping from door

Steam or water is escaping from the door of the steam oven/combi-steam oven.

Steam oven/combi-steam oven operating without pressure: the door seal is not installed correctly.

Check that the door seal is installed correctly.

Press in the door seal all the way round the door to make sure the door seal is installed evenly.

Steam oven/combi-steam oven operating without pressure: The door seal is damaged.

Damage to the door seal can take the form of cracks or porous areas.

Replace a damaged door seal.

You can order a new door seal from Miele Service.

HC Pro/HCX Pro combi-steam oven

On the HC Pro and HCX Pro combi-steam oven models, you cannot replace the door seal yourself.

Contact Miele Service or book a repair appointment online.

Steam pressure oven: The door seal sealing lip is folded over.

Replace the damaged door seal.

You can order the “Conv.kit door seal Steamcooker” conversion kit in the Miele online shop/“Spare parts and accessories” section or from Miele Service.

Steam pressure oven: The door seal or safety valve has become porous over time.

The door seal and the safety valve are made from high-quality silicone rubber. Silicone rubber is a natural material that undergoes a natural aging process.

Replace the door seal and safety valve silicone elements every 1 to 2 years.

Steam pressure oven: There is soiling in the area around the door seal.

Clean the door seal, the safety valve, and the areas that come into contact with the door seal with a damp cloth.
