Con@ctivity inoperative despite Wi-Fi connection

Con@ctivity 3.0 is not working but the Wi-Fi connection is intact. The cooktop and the ventilation hood are connected to the home network and the Miele app but Con@ctivity between the cooktop and the ventilation hood is not working. Disconnecting the energy supply does not solve the problem.

At least one repeater is in use on the Wi-Fi network.

A classic Wi-Fi repeater sets up its own Wi-Fi. Although the Wi-Fi from the repeater may have the same name as the main Wi-Fi, it is entirely separate from it. The cooktop can connect to the Wi-Fi repeater while the ventilation hood connects to the main Wi-Fi, for example. In this case, although the cooktop and the ventilation hood are connected to the same Wi-Fi network (SSID), they are working with 2 physically separate radio cells.

Take the Wi-Fi repeater out of operation temporarily so that the cooktop and the ventilation hood are physically connected to the same radio cell.

If taking the Wi-Fi repeater out of operation temporarily solves the problem, check if the Wi-Fi repeater can be configured with its own Wi-Fi network (SSID). Then connect the cooktop and the ventilation hood to your Wi-Fi network (SSID).

Alternatively, you can attempt troubleshooting as follows:

  • Despite logging on successfully, Con@ctivity is inoperative

  • The ventilation hood does not switch on until several minutes after the cooktop has been switched on
