Setting up a static IP address
A static IP address can be required in some networks.
In order to allocate a static IP address to the Miele gateway, a direct link is needed between the computer and Miele gateway via a LAN cable. Additionally, the DHCP function must be activated in the computer’s network settings.
After rebooting the Miele gateway (approx. 3 min), the computer receives an IP address from the Miele gateway. By calling up the IP address 192.168.5.5 (service IP address) in a browser, it is possible to set a static IP address.
To set a static IP address, complete the following steps:
Select Network.
Select Change settings.
Select Allocate static address.
Enter the network numbers in accordance with the IP address, subnet mask, and DNS server.
Select Save.
Select Log off at the top right in the gateway.
Disconnect the cable connection between the Miele gateway and the computer.
Connect the Miele gateway to the network (router, switch) and restart.
