Support for yourTumble Dryer

Technical fault

Technical fault appears in the tumble dryer display.

There is no obvious cause.

Switch the tumble dryer off and then on again.

Clean the lint filters as follows:

  • Open the door.

  • Pull the upper lint filter forward to remove it.

  • Remove the lint from the filter surface of all the lint filters and the perforated laundry deflector.

  • Turn the yellow knob on the lower lint filter in the direction of the arrow (until you hear it click).

  • Hold the knob and pull the lint filter forward to remove it; see figure.

  • Use a vacuum cleaner with a long crevice nozzle attached to remove any visible lint from the upper air flow openings.

  • Push the lower lint filter in again completely and lock it with the yellow knob.

  • Push the upper lint filter in completely.

  • Close the door.

Check the heat exchanger unit and, if soiled, clean it as follows:

  • Press the round, indented area on the heat exchanger access panel to open it.

  • Pull the plinth filter out by the handle. This causes the right-hand guide pin in the tumble dryer to come out. This pin ensures that the heat exchanger access panel can only be closed if the plinth filter is inserted the right way round.

  • Danger of injury when touching the cooling fins with your hands.

    You could cut yourself.

Use a vacuum cleaner and a dust brush to clean the cooling fins of the heat exchanger.

  • Look to see if lint has accumulated on the plinth filter and remove as necessary.

  • If there is visible soiling, clean the heat exchanger using a vacuum cleaner with a dust brush.

  • Only pass the vacuum cleaner dust brush over the heat exchanger fins lightly, without applying any pressure.

  • Take care not to bend the cooling fins out of shape or to damage them.

  • Carefully vacuum up any visible lint or dirt. When reassembling, the plinth filter must be positioned correctly in front of the heat-exchanger unit.

  • First insert the handle with the plinth filter attached over the two guide pins. The word Miele on the handle must be the correct way up.

  • Push the plinth filter in completely. The act of pushing in the plinth filter will also push in the right-hand guide pin.

  • Close the heat exchanger access panel. The tumble dryer can only be operated with the plinth filter installed correctly and the heat exchanger access panel closed. The access panel must be closed correctly to ensure that water cannot leak from the condenser system and to ensure that the tumble dryer functions efficiently.

If you still can’t start a program or the same message appears again, there is a fault.

This is a technical fault that you cannot remedy yourself.
