Ginger and Honey Glazed Carrots

A quick and simple side dish that is sure to be a holiday favourite.

A delightful combination of sweet, savory, and zesty flavors, perfect for any occasion.

Simple yet elegant, this recipe brings out the natural sweetness of the carrots in a way that's both comforting and refreshing. Tender baby carrots, gently blanched and then roasted to caramelized perfection, are coated with a luscious honey glaze and infused with the richness of turkey stock.

Ingredients:

1lb baby carrots with green tops
⅓ cup turkey stock
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp chopped parsley
1 tbsp chopped chives
Fresh lemon


Preparation:

  1. Using your Miele Combi-Steam Oven on the blanch setting (under Special Modes), blanch the carrots, cool and set aside in a mixing bowl.
  2. Toss the remaining ingredients with the carrots (minus the herbs).
  3. Lay contents of the bowl on a small sheet pan or solid Miele Tray.
  4. In a full-size / 30" Miele Convection Oven:
    1. Select Operating Modes
    2. Select Moisture Plus
    3. Select Moisture Plus + Convection Roast at 350 ºF
    4. Set timer duration for 10 minutes
    5. Select Automatic
  5. Cook for 10 minutes until the carrots begin to caramelize but ensure they are not block
  6. Sprinkle with herbs, a squeeze of lemon and serve.
